SPRING 2009 INFORMATION

ORDER OF PLAY REGULATIONS FOR OPEN PENNANT

Captains are empowered to claim a walkover if the designated players have not started within the time specified in the By-Law. If players are aware in advance that they cannot comply with the designated 1st match order of play, they must advise the opposing captain, whereupon both team captains must agree on a designated 1st match to ensure that there are players ON COURT within 10 minutes of the agreed starting times.

If neither team has its designated player ready to warm-up, the rubber shall be cancelled.

The AWAY team shall have the right to nominate which rubber will be played second.

For the 15 week competition, the designated starting players are as follows:

For the autumn Pennant Squash ACT has decided to incorporate split rounds to ensure more home matches for players. If your draw display from the matrix displays 'Combination of Courts' in the venue column then you are to use the following spreadsheet to find out which venue your team will be playing at.

The Senior Pennant offers competitive squash for all standards of play. Join a team of 3 or 4 players and travel to squash centres all over Canberra. Get fit and socialise at the same time.

 

There are two competitions held each year. One is in the autumn starting 24 February and finishing in July. Registrations for Autumn Pennant close 4 February. The other is the Spring Pennant starting early August and finishing early December. Registrations for Spring Pennant close 4 July. Reserves are accepted all year round

 

Comp nights are Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night depending on the grade you play.

Starting time is 7:30pm

The cost is between $100 and $150 registration per pennant and $8 per week for court hire.

Supper is supplied on Grand Final night for all players and their friends.
